Settling In

It has been almost 3 full months we have lived in Tampa. It certainly does not feel like it has been that long...probably because we have actually only been in Tampa for about a month of that time! Addison and I joined a workout group called Stroller Strides. It is WONDERFUL! It is an intense workout for moms with children in strollers. It is an hour Mon-Sat. We try to go at least 4 or 5 times a week. As part of the stroller strides program we also do a weekly playdate and monthly mother's night out. It has been a great way for us to meet some great friends. Since the class falls during Addison's typical morning nap time we have had to tweak her schedule. I know! I know! I am so selfish to not plan my life around my daughter's sleep schedule....honestly....I did it for 13 months! I am OVER it!!! :) We need a life too and since her naps are usually 30 minutes...we quit! So now when we get home she is taking one nap that lasts between 1 and 2 hours!!! How fantastic is that? I now have to time to actually do stuff and Addison wakes up so happy!

We were home alone this past weekend because daddy had school in Gville. We went to Stroller strides and then to our friends house to swim in their pool. Yesterday Addison and I went to the zoo! It was so much fun but ended on a bad note when Addison decided to throw the biggest hissy fit I have ever seen for making her leave. I thought I had another year before this started?

Addison took home a souvenier from our Jacksonville trip...hand foot and mouth...a yucky virus. I guess I can't complain too much since that was her first REAL sickness EVER but it still broke my heart to see my little doll-baby miserable. The rash is pretty much gone and back to normal but of course something else had to happen! Last night we were playing peek a boo with her blanket and she pulled the blanket off and it made her fall forward into her basket of books. She now has a huge shiner on her left eye. Poor baby. We are going to visit Addison's great grandparents this weekend in TN. Besides them thinking we beat our child and the eleven hour drive we are very excited! Keep you posted on how that goes!

Finally a New Update!

Hello everyone! I am so sorry I have not updated the blog in weeks. We have been traveling like crazy to friend's weddings and then to Jax for some quality family time. Above are some pictures from our family weekend in Pensacola and then from Addison's big first birthday party! Enjoy.

Big Couple of Weeks for our Big Girl!

What a crazy couple of weeks the Bond Jr. family has had! We drove to Pensacola for a Walker family reunion and to learn about our family heritage! Minus the 6.5 hour car drive that we turned into 8 hours it was a fantastic trip. It was really neat to be able to trace our ancestors back to the 1700's and two of our ancestor's houses are actually museums for tour in Pensacola! We got professional pictures taken while there of all 25 family members and they turned out great! When I get the disc from the photography I will post some family pictures. Addison loved Easter egg hunting. We were very impressed with how quickly she caught on and walked around carrying her basket on her arm like the diva she is and picked up as many eggs as she could find. We were so proud of her.

We got back from Pensacola Easter Sunday and then Addison and I were off to Vero Tuesday to start setting up for her big first birthday bash. Let me tell you....it turned out beautifully! We had wonderful weather...sunny around 78. We had a fabulous crowd of family and friends and lots of great food. Addison basked in all the attention and cake! Our child is not shy of sticking her whole head in a cake....I have proof. We are so thankful to have such wonderful people in our lives who are so special to us. Addison is one very loved little girl.

Addison and I are still in Vero because I needed to clean up my parent's house. Thank god we did because I got a terrible bout of stomach flu. Reva, Corey and Jessica had it the week before so I guess they left more than a present for Addison behind! :) JK My sweet mother took yesterday off to care for Addison while her daughter hugged the toilet and tried to get rest to recover. Needless to say we are missing daddy terribly but good news is he is coming back to Vero tomorrow and then we are having a mommy/daddy night Sat at Vero beach Hotel & Club! Wohoo...our first real night away where we actually go somewhere. My friend Kristi is getting married Sat so we will go back to the hotel after the wedding for a fun grown up night out!

The pictures above are Addison's 1 year professional pictures! So cute!!! I will post some of her birthday when I get some free time. We are off to Jax next weekend for a week to spend time with Grandmommy and Pa and all my Aunts/Uncles and sweet cousin Caleb!

Yes this is what I wore to the ZOO!

Charles and I took Addison to the zoo on Addison's actual birthday. We were very fortunate to have such beautiful weather. We had a great time and now have an annual pass so I see many more visits to the zoo in our future! We came home and went for a walk and then our friends the Bergins, Caldwells and Clint came over for pizza and cupcakes to help Addison celebrate the big FIRST birthday! The Bergins have Brooke (almost 3) and Brianna (10 months) and Addison just adores Brooke. She follows her around and does whatever she does. Addison absolutely LOVED the cupcake. She had no trouble eating the entire thing in about 2 minutes. We ended the night with a nice bath with her friends and then she slept like the sweet baby she is! I can't wait for you all to see pics. I will try to get more up soon...promise!
