Happy Father's Day!!!!

We had a nice relaxing day. We slept in then went out to lunch for some BBQ then went to our friends house for a get together then we went to Grandaddy and Mimi's house for dinner. Daddy wanted us all in green to celebrate his special day. I must say Charles is a wonderful daddy and it makes my heart smile everytime I see him with Addison. It is neat to see how Addison responds to him and how she follows him and his voice around the house constantly. She definitley adores her daddy and I think she pretty much has him wrapped around her adorable little finger! Of course Charles would never admit that! :)

Water Baby!

We took Addison in the pool for the first time and she loved it! She would have stayed in there all day but she was getting so relaxed she was falling asleep. Of course when we tried to get her to nap afterwards she wanted nothing to do with it!

2nd Trip to Jax

We went to Jacksonville a week ago and Addison had a great time with cousin Caleb. She did not enjoy the car ride there or back home! Three hours of crying feels like an eternity. We took Addy to the beach for the first time and as you can see she was very excited.....she slept the whole time!

It's Summer Time!!!

New Friend!

Last night my friend Heather went into labor. She did not find out what she was having until delivery. We visited John, Heather & baby Ava today! Ava is beautiful and Addy looks forward to many play dates with her new friend!

Play Date!

We went over to some friend's house, Jenn & Clint, last night that we met in our Infant Safety class. They had a little girl, Katie, February 15th. Usually Addison is in meltdown mode starting around 6pm but I guess she was peer pressured into being a happy baby along side happy Katie! It was wonderful. Addy kept flailing her arms and her hand would end up in Katie's mouth which she did not mind at all...it was fun to watch them together! Addison does look like a little peanut to Katie who is already 16 pounds!

Sleep Update

Yes the Watermelon is BIGGER than Addy!

I have not wanted to write about how wonderful Addison has been sleeping in fear of jinxing it! Last night was the first night since her immunizations that Addison went to bed at 9pm and woke up once at 2:30 and not again until 8am!!! One would think that mommy got lots of sleep but instead I stared at the monitor convinced she would wake up any minute so I didn't want to fall asleep just to be woken up in a few minutes. Then I got so excited with every passing minute that she stayed asleep I couldn't fall back asleep! I know I am crazy. Now that I know she is capable of sleeping for 5-6 hours at a time (which is considered sleeping through the night for infants) I will be sleeping every second she is.

She also is starting to hold toys and tries to hold her bottle (when she gets one which is not often)...only for a few seconds but it is still a milestone. Another new and exciting development that I was not prepared for this early is the DROOL! HOLY DROOL! You would think her teeth are about to sprout out any second but obviously that is a few months away. I swear if you hold Addison for more than a minute your shirt is soaked with her drool...yummy....it really is cute but not when you are out in public. I guess it is time to start wearing shirts with patterns to hide the drool a little better than a solid color shirt does. I will say though Addison does enjoy blowing huge bubbles with her drool...it really is cute. She smiles more and more everyday and Charles and I fight over who gets to hold her first in the morning because she is just so darn cute!
